Deadlines.....

Our trip to Kenya is fastly approaching.... we are excited, nervous, overwhelmed, and well, the list could go on forever! I'm writing for two reasons... one is a reminder to pray for us! We feel so strongly the need for a really solid prayer covering-- we are asking each of you to commit to praying at least one day for us-- or as you think of us while we are gone. :)

The second thing, I know many of you have mentioned you wish to financially support our trip. We are coming down to the last days-- and if you are wanting to support us we are encouraging you to have any donations in to us by June 1. The leader of our trip is leaving for Kenya that day and needs to have as much of our support as possible before that time. A reminder that all donations are tax deductible-- and no donation is too small! :) We appreciate ALL that has been given so far-- and we don't have too far to go! Please pray about whether or not you can give! We have set up on our blog an easy way to donate. Please feel free to contact us with any other questions you may have.

So much encouragement......

Last night we got to meet and spend some time with one of the Pastors from Nairobi we will be working with. It was so awesome to hear all about the culture and his passion for what the Lord is doing there. There is so much we will learn there-- and so much about ourselves that will be changed. We are really getting so excited to do whatever the Lord asks and to minister to those in need. :) Continue to pray for us!! We still have financial needs that must be met. Thank you so much to all who pray-- and for all the encouraging notes we have received! Love to all.

We are so thankful.....

So thankful for all who have so generously given to us. It has been so great to have a "front seat" to what God is doing. We have found ourselves stretched beyond belief-- God is requiring us to cling to His promises-- and we are learning what it is to TRULY trust. We have $5500.00 to raise in 3 weeks. We know God has a plan... and He sees the bigger picture. I am thankful He is in control and not me! :) Please continue to pray for us.... we feel your prayers for us daily. We love you all.

Our God Never.....

Wow. He never ceases to amaze me. We are both SO overwhelmed by His sovereignty... and how much HE loves us! Both of us were feeling a little discouraged yesterday... wondering how God was going to work all of it out.... All of it- meaning $8000.00. And wouldn't you know it?! It is so like Him to surprise us... and amaze us- all in one tiny breath! In 6 days, we have received just over $1000.00!!! God is so great and good. And OH how He loves us..........
